Gypsy Rose Blanchard Grapples with Ex-Husband Ryan’s Paternity Claims and ‘Death Threats’ in Life After Lock Up (Exclusive)

“I never had any doubts of who the father was,” Gypsy Rose says of her pregnancy in PEOPLE’s exclusive look at the season 2 trailer for ‘Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up’

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is putting speculation about her pregnancy to bed.

In PEOPLE’s exclusive debut of the Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up season 2 trailer, the reality star, 33, and her boyfriend, Ken Urker, are happy to have found love again.

Though the couple have new beginnings to look forward to with a baby on the way, Ken can’t help but admit, “I wish she had gotten through this divorce before this happened.”

“Ryan texted me,” Gypsy Rose declares at the scene shifts to a shot of her ex-husband Ryan Anderson wiping tears from his eyes. “He has lingering hope that I will go back to him, even with the pregnancy.”

In his own conversation with cameras, Ryan doesn’t fully believe Ken is the father of Gypsy Rose’s baby and promises to “do my responsibilities” as a parent. However, the former convict reveals she’s “never had any doubts of who the father was.”

“I’m gonna have a paternity test done for Ryan’s speculation,” she adds as the trailer features both her and Ken undergoing DNA testing to prove Ryan wrong.

Despite what should be a happy time for the couple, life continues to throw Gypsy Rose and Ken “a lot of curve balls.”

Gypsy Rose, who was convicted of second-degree murder and served more than eight years of prison for the death of her mother Dee Dee, is still “on parole” so she and Ken “can’t live together.”

The couple then begin to have trouble in paradise when Gypsy Rose finds the “hair brush of an ex-girlfriend” while cleaning out the bathroom cabinet.

To make matters worse, the television personality’s pregnancy becomes a hot topic that divides the internet.

“I got death threats,” she explains. “People don’t feel like I’m gonna be a good mother, because of what my mom put me through. Let me prove you wrong.”

In a synopsis for season 2, the docuseries says it will follow the “delayed and unexpected coming-of-age journey of Gypsy Rose Blanchard during the first year of her life as a free woman, which includes her navigating a pending divorce, a rekindled relationship, a surprise pregnancy and her journey into motherhood.”
